I have no teeth, so the soft chews make it easy for me to have treats like my brothers and sisters.
Our Hunter loves his treats from Pawlickity Dog Treats! So much that when they come out of the fridge he can’t wait. These snacks are adorable, look at the little paw print in the treat. Totally made with love!
I have been creating and crafting all my life. In 2021, I decided to make crafting more than just a hobby and make it a business. Everyone loved my idea and craft, unfortunately, my first crafting venture didn't do as well as I had hoped. In true entrepreneurial spirit, I didn't give up! I decided I wanted to try something new and I put my creative mind to work. As I was coming up with ideas for my next venture, and there were many, it dawned on me...DOG TREATS!!! I have 4 dogs, Spyder, Foxy, Snoop and Piglet, so dog treats makes complete sense! All of our dogs are rescued and each have their own unique story. Spdyer is featured in our "Charity" section, and I would love to write each of their stories, but it would take up most of the space on this website.
Foxy is featured as our mascot because she was my inspiration for the name and logo, and making homemade treats. Searching for treats for a senior, toothless, 6lb dog isn't easy. Most treats are hard and crunchy, not always made for small dogs, let alone for dogs without any teeth. The name Pawlickity is in honor of her tongue that hangs out. It always reminds me of the "yum" emoji.
Our main goal is to ensure the treats are made with whole foods, not processed, and natural ingredients. We make our own peanut butter and oat flour to ensure ingredients are whole and not processed. Though my inspiration was Foxy, not all treats are soft. We have a variety of crunchy, soft and a little in between.
Our store will also carry dog blankets and dog treat mason jars. Dog treat jars can be customized with your pet's name and color of choice. Just message us!
Thank you for visiting our site and I hope your fur family enjoys the treats as much as Spyder, Foxy, Snoop and Piglet!
Proceeds from Spyder Bites and the dog blankets support our favorite charity, Pets For Vets®. Pets for Vets® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States dedicated to providing a second chance to shelter dogs by rescuing, training, and matching them with American veterans who need a companion pet.
Spyder, our most senior dog, was given a second chance to my husband, Leif, an Iraq Veteran, as a therapy dog in January 2010. Spyder is a Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless) mix. Spyder was trained to recognize signs of PTSD, anxiety or any kind of distress. Once Leif shows any of these signs, Spyder is trained to calm Leif down or distract him. The one thing Spyder would do is jump on Leif and lick his face. Leif always says, "how can you be mad when you have a loving pup licking your face." Spyder is now 13 and continues to be very energetic for his age. Spyder can still recognize the signs and continues to lick Leif's face. Leif's symptoms have improved over time, but if Spyder was not there in the earlier phases, who knows where Leif would be today. We are grateful for organizations like Pets For Vets® that help our Veterans find ways of coping and transitioning back to civilian life.
